About Dr. Schwartz

Dr. Oren Schwartz is a native Midwesterner who attended Yeshiva University where he played three years of Division III baseball while completing his BA in Psychology. He relocated to South Florida in 2010 to attend the PsyD Program (Doctorate of Psychology) at Nova Southeastern University. During Dr. Schwartz’s predoctoral internship at the Chrysalis Health placement of the South Florida Consortium Internship Program, he provided therapeutic services within his client’s homes, allowing him to fully experience the family dynamics of each client. His post-doctoral fellowship was split between Nova Southeastern University’s Office of Suicide and Violence Prevention (SVP) and the School-related Psychological Assessments and Clinical Interventions (SPACI) granted him additional professional experience in the areas of suicide assessment and prevention, psychoeducational testing, psychological interventions, and clinical supervision.

Since obtaining his license, Dr. Schwartz has provided services in a range of clinical settings such as jails, nursing facilities, schools, community mental health clinics, and private practices. Being located in South Florida throughout his training and professional careers has offered him the opportunity to treat clients with a broad range of demographic backgrounds and clinical presentations.

As a clinician, Dr. Schwartz believes that psychotherapy is a highly individualized processes and he will work with you and other members of your support system to set treatment goals that target improving your daily functioning. Over the past year, in an effort to improve the comfort of his clients and effectiveness of treatment while maintaining COVID protocols, he has focused on utilizing technological tools to improve the process of therapy. Dr. Schwartz currently resides in Broward County with his wife and four children and when he is not in session, they enjoy exploring sunny South Florida and learning about local wildlife.
